Where it All Began
Sweet Daisy Designs began in the most unexpected way, with my sweet rescue pit bull Daisy, a well-loved leather chair, and a little creative curiosity. What started as an attempt to repair something she had destroyed became the beginning of a new creative journey.

An Unexpected Beginning
I’m Heidi, a self-taught mixed media artist and leather jewelry maker, and Sweet Daisy Designs was born from the sweet soul of a rescue pit bull named Daisy.
We adopted Daisy during the pandemic, and like many rescues, she came with anxiety and challenges from a difficult start to life. About a month after adopting her, we had a terrifying incident when she ate the leather armrests from my favorite chair and needed emergency stomach surgery.
The chair sat without armrests for nearly a year before I finally decided to try replacing them myself. Unexpectedly, a love for working with leather was born.
Today, Daisy is thriving and constantly by my side. She is my furry soulmate, and I truly believe she came into my life for a reason. Every day she teaches me about unconditional love, resilience, and living in the present moment. That spirit is at the heart of Sweet Daisy Designs.
I use a combination of recycled and locally sourced leather in my jewelry. Small imperfections are a natural part of the material and add to the character and story of each piece. Every item is thoughtfully designed and handmade by me.
My mixed media art prints and greeting cards are inspired by pages from my art journals, where I explore texture, color, and emotion. I’ve also begun creating larger works on canvas and hope to offer original pieces in the future. My work is inspired by nature, imperfect beauty, second chances, and the stories materials carry with them.
In honor of Daisy, a portion of the profits from Sweet Daisy Designs is donated to Three Little Pitties Rescue to help more rescue animals find their soulmates.
When I’m not creating art, I run my Pilates business, Pilar Pilates, and teach at Dragonfly Yoga Pilates Dance here in West Seattle, where a selection of my jewelry is available locally.
